These air fryer meatballs are so tender and juicy. Not to mention they can be paired with just about anything. They are so delicious and packed with flavor!! This recipe is what I like to call a one stop shop. All of the ingredients are placed into one bowl then thrown into the air fryer.
I have about two reasons why you should make this recipe. Quick and delicious. That’s enough for me. You only need to throw all the ingredients in one bowl and pop them into the air fryer! This recipe pairs really well with my white rice and cornbread.
Ground Turkey- I choose to use ground turkey for this air fryer meatballs. Turkey meat is extremely healthy and inexpensive.
Italian Breadcrumbs-The breadcrumbs are used for taste and help keep the meat from falling apart.
Grated Parmesan Cheese-This is purely for flavor and can be kept out of the recipe, but I don’t recommend it.
Fresh Parsley- Parsley is used as an herb in this recipe and is used for many health benefits, such as being rich in vitamins and minerals.
Sweet Onion- Enhances the flavor and compliments the turkey meat.
Eggs- Are used as a binder in this recipe, but I will say that I have made this recipe without eggs, and it’s still delicious.
Seasonings- Sea Salt, pepper, and garlic powder. All these seasonings
Making these turkey meatballs is quite simple; you will need a big bowl to mix all the ingredients. My first step is always gathering all my ingredients together, so I don’t leave anything out of the recipe.
Grated Parmesan is a small thing to leave out, but if missing, it could possibly taste
differently.
The reason I love this recipe is because of the many possibilities that come along with this recipe.
You don’t have only to use turkey as I did, but you can use other meat such as beef, chicken, and ground pork.
BBQ Sauce- Is also a great way to switch up this recipe. Just submerge these meatballs into your favorite BBQ sauce. Especially for game-day football.
I use an air fryer toaster oven, but you can definitely use whatever air fryer you have on hand.
The good news about this recipe is that you can freeze them. They can be stored in the freezer for up to 2 months. You can store them in an airtight zip-lock bag or airtight containers.
You have many options when it comes to reheating these turkey meatballs in the air fryer. The first option is to warm them in a microwave for 1 minute or until they reach your desired temperature. The second option is to warm them up in a preheated oven at 400 degrees for 5 minutes.
Cooking meatballs in the is all about making sure you preheat the air fryer to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
Next, pop them in for about 12 to 15 minutes or until the inside reaches 165 degrees.
Cooking frozen meatballs in the is pretty much the same steps as unfrozen meatballs. Preheat your air fryer to 400 degrees and cook for 12 to 15 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 165 degrees.
