I have the best walnut chocolate chip recipe that would be great for entertaining for the holidays. Also, it doesn’t have to be a holiday for you to enjoy these tasty cookies! They are so moist just like my quick and easy moist cake. Let’s jump right into the recipe.
Step 1:
Gather all the necessary ingredients: butter, light brown sugar, granulated sugar, eggs, vanilla extract, all purpose flour, salt, baking powder, baking soda, cornstarch, chocolate chips, and walnuts.
Step 2:
Place sticks of butter in medium sauce pan. Cook until lightly browned. Then sit butter to the side. Please allow the butter to cool down, we will use later.
Tip:
Don’t turn heat too high. It will burn the butter. Continue to stir the butter while cooking. Don’t add hot butter to ingredients, it will not come out correctly.
Step 3:
In a separate bowl add dry ingredients: light brown sugar and granulated brown sugar. Stir mixture together.
Step 4:
Once butter has cooled down pour the browned butter into the light brown sugar and granulated sugar mixture. Then stir in eggs and pure vanilla extract.
Step 5:
In another bowl add all of your dry ingredients together: flour, baking soda, salt, and cornstarch. Stir dry ingredients until combined.
Step 6:
Gradually mix dry ingredients into the browned butter mix. Pour half of the flour mixture then mix, then pour the other half of flour. Mix the ingredients until there is no more flour residue. Now add in semi-chocolate chips and chopped walnuts.
Step 7:
Place plastic wrap over cookie dough. Let the dough chill for 40 minutes. Don’t skip this step please.
Step 8:
Preheat oven to 350F.
Step 9:
Take cookies out refrigerator and place cookies on tray. Place in preheated oven of 350F for 10-14 minutes. Make sure edges of cookies aren’t getting too dark, if so, take cookies out and let the heat from the cookies finish cooking them.
Tip: Use a ice cream scoop for scooping the dough if you would like all of the cookies one size. Place cookies at least 2 inches apart on cooking sheet because the cookies will spread.
Step 10:
Let cookies cool for about 5 minutes and enjoy.
