Roast pork gravy is on my list of things to make for my family this holiday season. This rich gravy is packed with flavor and is perfect for your next pork dinner. Oh, another thing! You gonna love that this homemade gravy has only a few simple steps.
In a medium-sized saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.
3 tablespoons Butter
Once the butter has melted, add the flour to the pan and whisk it continuously until it forms a smooth paste. This mixture is called a roux and will thicken the gravy.
2 Tablespoons All-purpose flour
Gradually pour in the beef broth while whisking constantly to prevent any lumps from forming.
2 Cups Beef Broth
Add the Worcestershire sauce to the mixture and continue whisking until everything is well combined.
1 Teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
Bring the gravy to a gentle boil, then reduce the heat to low and let it simmer for about 5 minutes. Stir occasionally to avoid sticking.
Taste the gravy and season with salt, garlic, and pepper according to your preference. Adjust the seasoning as needed.
Salt and pepper, 1 Tablespoons Garlic Powder
If you prefer a smoother texture, you can strain the gravy using a fine mesh sieve before serving.
Serve your delicious pot roast gravy alongside your favorite roast beef or other main dishes.
