Shrimp and cheesy bacon grits
When it comes to shrimp and cheesy bacon grits who doesn’t love that delicious combination. These are one of my all-time favorites.

Jumbo shrimp deveined

Thick bacon
Chopped

Grits
not cooked

Water

Buttermilk

Tbsp
Butter

Salt
To your liking

Pepper
to your liking

Parsley

Sharp cheddar cheese
shredded to your liking

Minced Garlic
to your liking

Creole seasoning
to your liking
Instructions
Cheese grits
In a pot pot set on medium-high, add in your water and buttermilk then bring to a boil
Next, add in your washed grits while stirring at the same time to avoid the grits from getting lumps
Place a lid over the grits and turn stove on low Allow to cook for 15-20 minutes
Occasionally stir grit to keep them from getting lumpy
Remove from the heat stir in sharp cheddar cheese, butter, and salt. Begin cooking bacon
Shrimp
Place stove on medium
In a pot add in a teaspoon of butter along with 1 tablespoon of minced garlic
Add in your shrimp. Don’t overcrowd the pot with shrimp
Add creole seasoning and pepper
Cook shrimp until they become opaque or pink
Add in fresh chopped parsley
Add grits in a bowl then add the cheese, shrimp, parsley, and chopped bacon on top.
