Beef and broccoli stir fry

Beef and broccoli stir fry is a delicious way to bring a favorite Chinese food recipe to your home. You get to control how salty, spicy, and flavorful your dish is. Serve this stir fry beef recipe over white rice or pan-fried noodles for a delicious take on this meal.

Ingredients  

  • 1 Fresh head of broccoli chopped
  • 1 Pound Beef flank thinly sliced
  • 2 Tbsp Sesame oil
  • ½ Cup Water
  • 1 Tbsp Cornstarch
  • 1/3 Cup Low sodium soy sauce
  • 1 Tsp Fresh Ginger powder
  • Black pepper to taste
  • 2 Tbsp Brown sugar
  • 2 Tbsp Unsalted butter
  • Sesame seeds Garnish

Instructions

  • Prep your beef flank by thinly slicing it into ¼” strips.
  • Chop the broccoli into smaller pieces, keep both the stem and broccoli floret chunks.
  • In a bowl add in your chopped beef.
  • Combine minced garlic, chopped ginger, water and cornstarch combined, brown sugar, sesame oil, and low sodium soy sauce.
  • Once you have all of the ingredients combined
  • In a saucepan on medium-high add in your butter. After the butter has melt down add in about 1 tbsp of the beef sauce you created along with the beef.
  • Once the beef begins to get brown on one side add in the rest of your sauce
  • Once the beef is cooked add your broccoli to the pan. If you aren’t  sure if your beef  is done you can use a meat thermometer. A safe temperature to eat beef is 145 degrees.
  • Place the top on and allow to simmer until done.
  • Sprinkle your roasted sesame seeds
  • Lastly, plate the beef and broccoli over rice or noodles and garnish with sesame seeds.
