Ingredients

  • 3 lb Pork Neck bones
  • 1 Medium Onion Chopped
  • 1 Tablespoon Garlic powder
  • 1 Tablespoon Seasoning salt
  • 1 Tablespoon Black pepper
  • 1 Tablespoon Onion powder
  • 2 1/2 Cup Chicken broth
  • 1 Tbsp Apple Cider Vinegar
  • 1 Tsp Flour
  • 2 Garlic cloves Minced
  • 1 Tbsp Salted Butter
  • Water For boiling

Instructions

  • To begin, make sure you clean your meat thoroughly to get clean water on that final rinse. Using lemon and vinegar is a great way to do this.
3 lb Pork Neck bones, Water
  • Next, start by boiling ( medium-high heat)   your neck bones in apple cider vinegar to the recommended cooking time. This will help remove any dirt.  You will know when they are done once the soap-like bubbles start to form. Pour off the water.
    1 Tbsp Apple Cider Vinegar
  • Turn your stove to medium-high and add chicken broth to neckbones. Season the chicken broth mixture with all of the recommended seasonings.
1 Tablespoon Garlic powder, 1 Tablespoon Seasoning salt, 1 Tablespoon Black pepper, 1 Tablespoon Onion powder, 2 1/2 Cup Chicken broth
  • Next, add in your chopped onions and 1 chopped garlic clove and butter and stir.
2 Garlic cloves, 1 Tbsp Salted Butter, 1 Medium Onion
  • Once the liquid begins to boil, whisk in a dash of flour to help thicken. Place a lid onto your neck bones, then turn your stove to medium-low and allow to simmer for 2 hours or until you are able to stick a fork through meat.
    1 Tsp Flour

Slow Cooker Version

  • To begin, make sure you clean your meat thoroughly to get clean water on that final rinse. Using lemon and vinegar is a great way to do this.
  • You first want to start by boiling ( medium-high heat)   your neck bones in apple cider vinegar to the recommended cooking time. This will help remove any dirt.  You will know when they are done once the soap-like bubbles form. Pour off the water.

  • Season your neck bones with the seasonings mentioned in the stovetop version above. Place the lid on and allow to cook on high for 3 to 4 hours or low for 5 to 6 hours or until fork tender.
