Cajun Fries

These crispy Cajun fries are cut straight from the Idaho potato, then rested in a pool of iced water, and fried up into golden perfection! 
How To Make Cajun Fries

Total Time: 20 minutes

Ingredients  

  • 4 Idaho Potatoes Any Size
  • 2 Tablespoon Creole Seasoning
  • Vegetable Oil Enough to submerge fries
  • 1 Cup Ice
  • 1 Cup Water
  • Napkins

Instructions

  • Cut your potatoes into French fries
    4 Idaho Potatoes
  • To a bowl add ice and water
    1 Cup Ice, 1 Cup Water
  • Submerge the fries and allow to sit for 30 minutes
  • Remove fries from the water and dry them thoroughly
  • Preheat your grease to 375 Fahrenheit
    Vegetable Oil
  • Add in your fries(allow to cook for 5 minutes)
  • Take them out and let them rest(sprinkle some Cajun seasoning over them)
  • Place back into the pot at 325 degrees until they become golden brown or fried to your likening
  • Take them out and place them onto a napkin and season immediately with Cajun/Creole seasoning
    Napkins, 2 Tablespoon Creole Seasoning
