Honey Buttermilk Biscuits

Honey buttermilk biscuits? Is always a question I get. Homemade buttermilk biscuits have always been a favorite of mine. They are so delicious and moist! Not, to mention that this recipe only has 3 ingredients. Enough of the talking. Let’s make these delicious buttermilk biscuits.
Honey Buttermilk Biscuits

Ingredients  

  • 2 cups self-rising flour
  • 1/2 cup frozen butter
  • 3/4 cup cold buttermilk
  • Honey for topping

Honey Butter Topping

  • Tablespoon Butter Softend
  • 1 Tablespoons Honey

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C).
  • In a large mixing bowl, add the self-rising flour.

  • Grate the frozen butter into the flour using a cheese grater. Mix well until the butter is evenly distributed.

  • Make a well in the center of the flour mixture and pour in the cold buttermilk.
    3/4 cup cold buttermilk
  • Stir the mixture until a soft dough forms. Be careful not to overmix.
  • Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and gently knead it a few times to bring it together.
  • Roll the dough out to about 1/2-inch thickness.
  • Use a biscuit cutter to cut out biscuits and place them onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Bake the biscuits in the preheated oven for about 10-12 minutes, or until they are golden brown on top.
  • Remove the biscuits from the oven and while they are still warm, brush the tops with honey for a sweet and sticky glaze.
  • Serve the honey buttermilk biscuits warm and enjoy!

Honey Butter

  • In a bowl, add some softened butter along with some honey. Mix these ingredients thoroughly, brush over the top of your biscuits.
    Tablespoon Butter, 1 Tablespoons Honey
