Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C).
In a large mixing bowl, add the self-rising flour.
2 cups self-rising flour
Grate the frozen butter into the flour using a cheese grater. Mix well until the butter is evenly distributed.
1/2 cup frozen butter
Make a well in the center of the flour mixture and pour in the cold buttermilk.
3/4 cup cold buttermilk
Stir the mixture until a soft dough forms. Be careful not to overmix.
Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and gently knead it a few times to bring it together.
Roll the dough out to about 1/2-inch thickness.
Use a biscuit cutter to cut out biscuits and place them onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Bake the biscuits in the preheated oven for about 10-12 minutes, or until they are golden brown on top.
Remove the biscuits from the oven and while they are still warm, brush the tops with honey for a sweet and sticky glaze.
Serve the honey buttermilk biscuits warm and enjoy!
