Italian Sausage and Peppers

Sautéed chicken and Italian sausage are smothered in sweet peppers. Listen, I did my thing with this one.

Ingredients  

  • 4 Italian Chicken Sausages
  • Sweet bell peppers a mix of red, yellow, and orange for a burst of color
  • 1/2 Onion thinly sliced
  • 1/2 Green Bell Pepper
  • -2 Cups Beef broth
  • - 1 tablespoon of butter
  • - 2 Tablespoons Olive oil
  • - Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • In a large skillet, heat a drizzle of olive oil over medium heat. Add the Italian chicken sausages and cook them until they're nicely browned on all sides. Remove the sausages from the skillet and set them aside.
    - 2 Tablespoons Olive oil, 4 Italian Chicken Sausages
  • In the same skillet, add a tablespoon of butter. Once melted, add the thinly sliced onions and cook them until they become soft and translucent.
    - 1 tablespoon of butter
  • Add the sweet bell peppers to the skillet and sauté them until they begin to soften and caramelize slightly. The vibrant colors of the peppers will bring a burst of life to your dish!
    Sweet bell peppers, 1/2 Onion, 1/2 Green Bell Pepper
  • Pour in enough beef broth to cover the sausages and vegetables partially. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
    -2 Cups Beef broth
  • Bring the mixture to a simmer and let it cook for about 5 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld together and the sausages to absorb the delicious broth.
  • Once the sausages are cooked through and the peppers are tender, remove the skillet from the heat. Sprinkle some freshly chopped parsley over the top for a vibrant finishing touch.
    - Salt and pepper to taste
  • Serve over a bed of rice.
