Sautéed chicken and Italian sausage are smothered in sweet peppers. Listen, I did my thing with this one.

Italian Sausage and Peppers

Italian sausage is my go-to meal when I’m on my way to the gym. It’s easy and takes about 15 minutes to put together. This is another easy one-pot meal!

Grocery Store List

Italian Sausage- I used chicken, but you can use pork and Italian sausage if that’s your preference.

Sweet Peppers– I used a mixture of colored sweet peppers—yellow, red, and orange.

White Onion- These work together well with the smoky sausage, giving you a great deal of flavor.

How To Make Italian Sausage and Peppers?

Medium-High Heat- Go ahead and set your stove to the recommended temperature.

Heat Things Up – Add your olive oil to the skillet and allow it to heat up.

Italian Chicken Sausage- Add your chopped sausages and mini sweet peppers.

Sear It Up- Allow your meat to cook, stirring occasionally until it reaches your desired browning.

Plate- Add alongside some perfectly cooked white rice or precooked store-brought rice.

  • Enjoy with a side of veggies if you don’t want the extra added calories from the white rice.
  • Add other meats to take your protein meal prep dinner to the next level.
