Apple Dump Cake with caramel  

Apple dump cake with caramel and a scoop of ice cream is calling your name! Not it mentions it only has 4 ingredients! This apple pie filling and dry cake mix gives this recipe the perfect combination of sweet and salty.

Ingredients  

  • 2 cans of apple pie filling
  • 1 box of yellow cake mix
  • 1 cup of melted butter
  • 1 cup of chopped pecans optional
  • 1/2 Cup Caramel Sauce

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F.
  • Spread the apple pie filling evenly in the bottom of the baking dish.
    2 cans of apple pie filling
  • Sprinkle the dry cake mix evenly over the apple pie filling.
    1 box of yellow cake mix
  • Drizzle the melted butter over the cake mix, ensuring it covers as much of the mix as possible.
    1 cup of melted butter
  • If you're using pecans, sprinkle them over the top.
    1 cup of chopped pecans
  • Bake in the preheated oven for about 35 to 40 minutes. At the half mark open the oven and cover any dry spots with the remaining melted butter. Place back in the oven until the top is golden brown and the cake is set.
  • Once done, remove the cake from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes.
  • Drizzle the caramel sauce over the warm cake, allowing it to soak in.
    1/2 Cup Caramel Sauce
  • Serve the apple dump cake warm, and you can even top it with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or whipped cream if desired!
