Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
Season both sides of the salmon steak with salt, black pepper, and garlic. Let it sit for about 10 minutes to absorb the flavors.
Salt, Black Pepper, 1 Teaspoon Garlic Powder
In a small bowl, mix together teriyaki sauce and honey. Adjust the ratio to your taste preferences, but a good starting point is 1 part teriyaki sauce to 1 part honey.
2 Tablespoons Teriyaki Sauce, 1 Teaspoon Honey, 2 Salmon Steak
Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and melt the butter. Once the butter is melted, sear the salmon steak for about 2-3 minutes on each side until it gets a nice golden brown color.
4 Tablespoons Butter
Transfer the seared salmon steak to a baking dish and brush the teriyaki-honey mixture generously over the top.
Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for about 3 to 5 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
Once cooked, remove the salmon from the oven and let it rest for a couple of minutes.
Serve the salmon steak garnished with chopped green onions for added freshness and flavor.
