Chili Cheese Dog with Onions
I love to sit down and cozy up to a warm homemade chili cheese dog with onions and French fries. Whoa, that was a mouthful, but it was worth it.
Ingredients
- 4 Cheese Sausage Links Favorite Links
- 1/2 Medium Purple Onion Chopped
- 1/2 Tsp Minced Garlic
- 1 lb Ground beef
- 1 Cup Ketchup
- 1/2 cup Chicken broth
- 1 tbsp Sugar
- Shredded cheese for topping
- Hot dog buns
- Additional shredded cheese and chopped onions for garnish
- Salt To your liking
- Pepper To your liking
- Garlic Powder To your liking
- All Purpose Seasoning To your liking
Instructions
- Add your cheese sausage links to a pot, allow to sear for 3 to 5 minutes, and remove.4 Cheese Sausage Links
- Add your chopped onions and minced garlic to the same pot and allow them to cook on medium high for 2 to 3 minutes.1/2 Medium Purple Onion, 1/2 Tsp Minced Garlic
- Next, add your seasoned ground beef to the pot and cook until brown, then drain all the remaining grease.1 lb Ground beef, Salt, Pepper, Garlic Powder, All Purpose Seasoning
- Add your ketchup along with chicken broth and sugar. Mix until everything is combined.1 Cup Ketchup, 1/2 cup Chicken broth, 1 tbsp Sugar
- Plate it up by adding shredded cheese to the bun, cheese dog, and chili, along with cheese and onion toppings!Shredded cheese, Hot dog buns, Additional shredded cheese and chopped onions
