Preheat your oven to the temperature indicated on the cake mix box.
Drain the syrup or juice from one can of peaches and set it aside. Keep the syrup or juice from the other can.
2 cans of sliced peaches
Pour the peaches with the reserved syrup or juice into a 9x13-inch baking dish, spreading them evenly.
In a small bowl, mix together the cinnamon, nutmeg, and vanilla extract. Sprinkle this mixture evenly over the peaches.

Sprinkle the dry yellow cake mix evenly over the peaches and spice mixture, making sure to cover them completely.
1 box of yellow cake mix
Pour the melted butter evenly over the cake mix, making sure it covers all areas.
1/2 cup 1 stick of unsalted butter, melted
Bake in the preheated oven at 350 degrees for about 35 to 40 minutes. At the half mark open the oven and cover any dry spots with the remaining melted butter. Place back in the oven until the top is golden brown and the cake is set.

Once baked, remove the cobbler from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
Serve warm with vanilla ice cream and drizzles of caramel.
