Can I use another type of cheese?

Yes, you can use any type of cheese that you would like. I have used sharp cheddar cheese in this recipe as well as gouda cheese. I say this because shredded cheese is easier to melt and will cook along with the biscuits, but block cheese, on the other hand, will not melt as easily, causing the stuffed bread to become burnt and hard.
