This quick and easy spaghetti and meatballs recipe is all you will need to keep you and your families belly full. This recipe could possibly be one of the easiest recipes I have made. 

What pasta do I use?

For this quick and easy spaghetti and meatballs recipe, I used Barilla® Chickpea and Red Lentil pasta. I really enjoy it, simply because Barilla leveraged its 140 years of expertise to create pasta with one simple ingredient-chickpea or red lentil flour. They offer a delicious taste and always “al dente” texture, while providing a good source of protein and an excellent source of fiber.


How to cook pasta?

I remember I used to completely overcook my pasta. I really had no idea that is was such a thing to overcook your pasta. Until my mom told me but I digress. To cook pasta is quite easy, the only thing you will need to do is run some hot water in a pot. Fill to mid point and turn the stove on medium high. Once the water begins to boil add in your salt and Barilla Red Lentil Spaghetti. Let the pasta cook until al dente then drain. There you have it! 


How to make the best Italian meatballs?

When I tell you that you will never want another bag of store bought meatballs. I mean it. To make this Italian meatball recipe you will first gather your ingredients (Italian bread crumbs, egg, parsley, pepper, salt, garlic powder, and ground beef. In a bowl add in ground beef then add in the rest of the listed ingredients above. Mix those ingredients together then form your meat into a ball. Firstly, add the second half of ingredients step by step (oil, pasta sauce, parmesan, chopped onions, garlic clove and sugar. In a pot add in oil (wait until oil is hot) Secondly, add in your uncooked meatballs (cook until all side are browned). Lastly,  add in chopped onion and garlic clove along with your sauce. Now add back in your meatballs and stir. Now add in your Parmesan and sugar then stir. Make sure you cook meatballs and sauce until the meat is tested and thoroughly done.

What type of sauce to use for pasta?

For this recipe, you can choose to use pasta sauce in the jar. Barilla® Vero Gusto® sauce would be a great option! Then there is making the marinara sauce from scratch.
