Smiley fries are coming right up, kids!! Being a mom of 3 can sometimes mean no cooking that day. Somedays are smiley-face fries’ days. They are easy and convenient. You can pop them in the air fryer and create a meal or appetizer for the kiddos. Hey, maybe even yourself. I know I love eating my kid’s smiley face fries.
Smiley face fries are french fries shaped into a smiley face, such as hearts or stars, using a specially designed cutter. They are an enjoyable and playful addition to a meal or snack. I. found them in the frozen food aisle of my local grocery store. The one's that I picked up are Mccains. They have mashed potatoes inside of them. You can fry them until golden crispy or air fry them as I did.
Some people enjoy them as a snack, while others enjoy the novelty of their shape. Regardless of why you like them, smiley face fries are a popular and fun way to get your kids to eat.
Here is the thing that I love about these fries. They are straightforward ingredients. Just buy them out of the store. If you’re like me, at times, my days are hectic! Sometimes I forget to take the meat out of the fridge. Anyway, here are a complete list of ingredients.
Making these isn’t a big deal. The hardest part is remembering to take them out of the air fryer. Other than that, it’s pretty straightforward. Here are the steps below.
Preheat- heat your oven to the recommended time on the back of the bag.
Freezer- Remove your fries from the freezer. You may want to gently hit the bag onto a hard surface to break them apart if they are stuck together.
Sheet Pan- Grab a sheet pan. Go ahead and begin removing the fries from the bag and placing them onto the pan.
Bake- Allow the family fries to cook until they become slightly brown.
The great thing about these air-fried fries is that there is no need for equipment except an oven.
These fries can be tossed in an airtight container. When ready to warm them up, I suggest baking them in a preheated oven at 400 degrees for 5-10 minutes. If you warm them in the microwave, they will be soggy.
You can purchase them from various locations, including fast-food chains, restaurants, and grocery stores. Many fast-food chains such as McDonald's, Burger King, and Wendy's offer them, while some restaurants may offer them as a side dish or appetizer.
The origins of fries are not entirely clear, but they are believed to have been first developed by a food science team. Isn’t that cool? This is also a great way to impress the tiniest little human.
I hope that you enjoyed this recipe and its endless possibilities!!
Well, Until Next time.
