What type of chicken to use for this Avocado chicken salad sandwich?
We all know that there are so many different types of chicken out there, but for this recipe, I chose to use bone-in chicken, or you can use a whole chicken, but I wouldn’t suggest chicken in the can.
How to make an avocado chicken salad sandwich?
This has to be one of the easiest recipes I have ever made. It’s so easy and delicious. It only gets better the more you let it sit in the refrigerator. To begin, boil your eggs in a separate pot or just add the eggs in with your chicken. So, the next step in making this sandwich is to make the chicken salad. You will need to get your chicken and add it to a pan along with chicken broth, onions, and green bell peppers. Now, you must ensure you season your chicken with garlic powder, onion powder, pepper, and seasoning salt. Allow the chicken to slow cook on the stove until the chicken is done.
You can tell that the chicken is ready if you take a fork and pull the chicken apart easily.
Drain the chicken
Once the chicken is done. Drain the chicken into a strainer and begin breaking the chicken apart with your hands. The chicken should look shredded once you're done. Now, add in your mayonnaise, sweet relish, and sugar. Mix everything together and place it in the refrigerator for about two hours. Lastly, but not least, spread butter over your croissant bread along with honey and bake for five minutes. Add your sliced avocado and chicken salad!! There you have it.
