Is the yeast hard to manage in this cinnamon roll recipe?
I know that yeast can be very intimidating but don’t be afraid. Once you place the yeast in the water it pretty much does all of the work for you. Now all you have to do is sit still and let the yeast rise in a slightly warm area.
How long do you have to wait for cinnamon roll yeast to rise?
You don’t have to let the yeast sit overnight. You can place the dough in a warm area for about an hour. The dough will then double in size. Let’s go over the easy steps of making cinnamon rolls at home so you can be on your way to cinnamon roll heaven!!
Steps to making cinnamon rolls
Making the yeast
First thing you need to do is grab a bowl add in the yeast with milk and let that sit to the side. Now in a bowl mix sugar and butter. Once you have that mixed up add in your eggs and mix. Next, add in your flour and salt. On a low setting, add in the yeast mixture you made earlier. Once it becomes dough, place it in a bowl and cover the bowl with plastic wrap. Let sit for about an hour. Your dough should double in size.
Rolling your dough
Once the dough has risen, remove from the bowl and roll flat with a rolling pin. Once you have flattened the dough, we are ready to make the filling.
Making the filling for cinnamon rolls
In a bowl add in brown sugar with oil and cinnamon. Mix together and spread on your flattened dough. Roll the dough long ways into a cylinder.
Baking the dough
Once you have rolled the dough slice the dough in 1 inch slices and place on a buttered pan. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Let the dough sit for about 20 minutes before placing in the oven. Let bake for 25-30 or until brown.
