One Pot Casserole- I love that this is an easy recipe you can make in your casserole dish and then pop in the oven. You only need to cook your chicken or use shredded chicken. It makes things so much easier.

Ingredients You Will Need

French Onion Soup Casserole
  • Bread Slices- This casserole dish with the slices of bread goes perfectly together. You can use baguette slices, french toast bread,  or French bread. It’s your preference. Just remember to use the remaining baguettes for dipping.
  • Butter- The butter is used to make the chicken a little brown. Again, you can also use shredded chicken(rotisserie). You can usually pick them up from your local grocery store. Just shred the chicken, and you’re done.
  • Seasonings- Salt, black pepper, thyme, dried rosemary, and garlic powder are all the seasonings you will need for this easy casserole recipe.
  • Cream of mushroom soup- I used the soup to make a good bowl of French onion soup for the slices of bread.
  • Beef Stock- Helps add a smoky flavor to your onion soup mix.
  • Swiss Cheese- Don’t skip this step. I added the cheese in a single layer to the top of bread to give it that extra nice crunch.
  • Sweet Onions- The cooked onions in this French onion soup casserole help flavor the mushroom soup.
