Creamy and cheesy stove top macaroni sounds too good to be true; but let me tell you, it's a real thing. The best part is this recipe can be whipped up in 15 minutes!
This is my go-to recipe when I just don't have the time to make a baked macaroni. This happens quite often as I normally have my 3 and 8 year olds tummies in the background demanding to be fed. That’s when I like to pull out my handy stovetop macaroni. It’s creamy and cheesy and did I mention so satisfying. This recipe is ready in only 10 minutes. It’s also one of my kids' favorite dish. Sometimes, I’m afraid to cook my stovetop Macaroni because they go on a rant for days asking me to make more.
Only a few ingredients
This recipe only calls for a few ingredients. Noodles, butter, salt, pepper, cream cheese, cheese, and milk, that’s it! Now you can be on your way to making this delicious recipe on your own. Well, hold on let me give you the instructions first, LOL!
Tips:
The first thing you need to know is to not boil the macaroni too long. Check the macaroni periodically to make sure its not too hard but not too soft. If too soft your macaroni will become mushy.
Cheese
Some people are a bit confused on rather or not they can use pre shredded cheese and the answer is yes. Also, I use sharp cheese because it gives the macaroni a more pronounced taste in my opinion. You can also use fresh grated cheese.
Can I use one pot?
The answer is yes. Just make sure you drain the macaroni after you have boiled it.
What can I pair stove top macaroni with?
I made this amazing bacon and spinach stuffed chicken that you will love to pair with my macaroni or try it with my quick and easy coconut bacon shrimp recipe.
Yes, I usually prefer my macaroni hot off the stove. Having to reheat the dish isn’t my preference.
