They say that sweet tea and Southern hospitality go hand in hand, but why not take things up a notch with a little bit of vodka? Sweet tea vodka is a popular cocktail in South Carolina, blending the smoothness of vodka with the familiar sweetness of sweet tea. Making your sweet tea vodka is surprisingly easy, and we’ve got the recipe to help you do it right, Southern-style! So, grab that mason jar and prepare to impress your friends and family with your next-level mixology skills
Homemade Sweet Tea Vodka is the perfect marriage of two Southern staples. A true Southern sweet tea cocktail. Refreshing alcoholic beverages like this take the classic sweet tea recipe to the next level by infusing black tea bags, ice cubes, and spring water, with a smooth, premium ml bottle of vodka. This is definitely another one of my black people recipes.
The result is a deliciously sweet and refreshing drink with an even sweeter kick that captures the essence of Southern hospitality in every sip. This drink reminds me of Bojangles hard sweet tea. Whether you're sipping it on a porch swing, at a backyard BBQ, or at your favorite bar, Sweet Tea Vodka, Southern Style will surely transport you to the heart of the South with its irresistible taste and charm. So, sit back, relax, and enjoy the perfect blend of sweet tea and smooth vodka uniquely from my Southern roots. This recipe can be enjoyed with buttermilk fried chicken or oven-baked ribs.

Lipton Tea- For that real sweet tea flavor, you can use Lipton regular tea bags. You can also add firefly sweet tea vodka and add a little more vodka to the mixture if you know what I mean. ????
Premium Vodka- Choosing the right kind of vodka can make a difference in the taste of your drink. I used Tito’s handmade vodka. Just look for the orang and brown vodka bottle.
Sugar- Any sugar you would like. I used granulated sugar and brown sugar. You can use keto sugar if you are trying to stay away from artificial flavors.
Lemons- The lemons are optional but add in a lot of flavor. If you are looking for that burst of citrus taste, add as many lemons as your heart desires.
Sweet Iced Tea- If you like ice in your tea, you must add as much as you like.
2)Allow to boil for 7 minutes. Add vodka to a cup and top with a lemon slice, and there you have sweet iced tea.
These substitutions are great ideas that I think you will enjoy.
Sugar- I know that the sugar in this recipe can be a bit much for folks so try keto or vegan sugar.
Orange Juice- Add a splash of orange juice to mix things up a bit/.
Strawberries- If you want to make a really exciting drink, add some crushed strawberries. If this is your first alcoholic beverage, go for the simple version of this recipe.
Peaches- To make your tea peach flavored. Add your peaches to the boiling water when you add the rest of the ingredients once the peaches begin to break down. Strain the tea into a pitcher and enjoy!
Sweeter-Make your sweet tea even sweeter. Also, the only thing you will need to do is add a lot more sugar until you’ve reached your desired taste.
Mint Leaves- Now, if I know anyone who loves that mint smell and taste, then this one is for you. You can chop and add mint leaves or simply stick a piece in top of your sweet tea.
Syrup- Add a splash of some simple syrup. Whatever your preference is. You can even go for a few drizzles of honey.
Sweet tea vodka doesn’t need much equipment to correct this recipe.
Mason Jar- So, when making sweet tea you can always use a mason jar for storing the tea and drinking your tea out and about. All you need to do is place the lid on and. There you have it a whole bottle of on the go sweet tea.
Glass Pitcher- Lastly, using a glass pitcher will help with the storing of the remainder.
Yes and no. It depends solely on what type of tea bag you choose.
Yes, you most certainly can. When you are ready to enjoy it, please remove it from the refrigerator, let unthaw, and enjoy!
This drink tastes good all by itself, but if you want to jazz things up. Add in some cranberry juice, green tea, or orange juice to have half the tea and half the other liquid.
