No, you don’t have to bake the wings. Although, you could bake them I assume but I have not tried baking them and adding the sauce yet.
How to make honey wings?
Wings with honey can be so addictive, trust me I know. Then adding pineapples in the mix make these pineapple honey wings irresistible. I thought I was in heaven when I tasted that crunchy texture with the sweet and tangy pineapple honey sauce. Enough of my rambling. Let’s get down to the recipe.
Steps to making pineapple honey wings
Step 1:The first thing you will need to do is air fry your wings. I got a family size bag of wings.
Place your wings into a bowl then add all the seasoning onto the wings.
Take your hand and mix the wings into the seasoning.
Place a cup of flour into a separate bowl.
Add seasoning to your flour, then mix wings into the flour mixture.
Place the floured wings onto the air fryer tray
Set the air fryer to 450 Fahrenheit for 20 minutes(check periodically)
Once the wings start to turn golden brown, spray the wings with cooking spray and continue to let cooking.
Once the timer is up, take the wings out.
Step 2: Make your sauce.
In a pan on medium-high add in mustard, honey, ketchup, hot sauce, pineapple juice, salt, garlic powder, and sugar.
Bring to a simmer and pour all over your fried chicken.
Optional but definitely makes a good presentation.
Step 4: Cut your pineapple vertical and then take some of the fillings out of the middle and add in the chicken.
