Oven Baked Ribs

In the South, going outside in the heat can be challenging, especially on those hot summer days. Well, with my oven baby back ribs, you don’t have to worry. No grill, no problem. These will be ready quickly, leaving you with juicy, tender meat that crumbles. BBQ season just got better, folks.

Ingredients For Oven Baked Ribs

  • Baby Back Ribs: I chose the beef version, but you can also choose pork if that’s your preference.
  • Sweet Onion—This step is optional but highly recommended. It helps to bring in more flavor!
  • Rib Rub- I created a simple dry rub that will have you in baby back ribs heaven.
  • Aluminum Foil—You will need this to ensure the meat becomes tender. There is no need for mustard. The aluminum foil will help with that.

How To Make Oven Baked Ribs

Preheat your oven to 375 degrees. First, you want to remove the membrane from the back.

Next, add all of your seasonings to a bowl and mix well.

Place the ribs in aluminum foil, drizzle olive oil, and rub the seasoning on both sides.

Add your onions over the top. Close the aluminum foil tight to keep all of the juices in.

Place in a preheated oven of 375 degrees for 2.5 hours or until tender.

Remove and lather BBQ sauce over the meat and place back into the oven uncovered for another 10 minutes.

Serve with broccolini, Mac and cheese, or even collard greens. With these tender oven-baked ribs, the possibilities are endless.

So, to store your oven-baked ribs, wrap them in a saran Wrap or an airtight container. Once you’re ready to eat them, warm them in the microwave for 1 to 2 minutes.
