Cheese-stuffed baked meatballs just got a whole lot better. I mean, come on. Who doesn’t love a saucy meatball? It’s the perfect classic weeknight meal for your family to enjoy! I made this for a baby shower event, and boy, were they a hit. The gooey cheese is baked into one delicious ground beef cheese ball. I don’t know about you, but sign me up!

Ground Beef—I used 80/20, but you can use turkey meatballs or pork if that’s your preference.

Pasta Sauce—Store-bought pasta sauces work well. You can use marina sauce or pasta. I love Trader Joe’s healthy and organic options.

Mozzarella Cheese- I used the mozzarella string cheese, but you can use other mozzarella options. It will not be as gooey on the cheese pull.

Spices and herbs-  Italian seasoning and oregano are some of the seasonings.

Eggs- This will act as a binding agent to hold baked meatballs together. Add a ton of moisture. Plus, using them will add an extra layer of protein.

Onion—If you want your meatballs to have a hint of caramelized onions, they will do just that.

How to make Cheese stuffed meatballs

  • Cut your mozzarella stick into pieces
  • Add the meat and all the other ingredients (Breadcrumbs, dried parsley, garlic powder, black pepper, sea salt, creole seasoning, Italian seasoning, and onion) to a bowl and mix well.
  • Grab a tablespoon of meat and flatten it in your hand’s palm. Place a piece of your mozzarella cheese stick in the middle and a sprinkle of mozzarella cheese. This is how you will form your cheese-stuffed meatballs. Begin to form ground or turkey meat into a circle(meatball)
  • Add butter and olive oil to a pan on medium heat. Once the butter is melted, add the meatballs to the pan and cook for 2 to 3 minutes. Then, flip them to another side to brown for 2 to 3 minutes using a fork.
  • Add in spaghetti sauce. Place a lid over the pan and place into a preheated oven of 350 degrees for 15 minutes.

The traditional side to eat with this meatball recipe is pasta, but you don’t always have to eat pasta. You can eat many other things that complement this turkey meatball recipe.   • 1 Tsp Fresh parsley Dried Parsley

  • Spaghetti sauce Your favorite. I used Newman's Own Roasted Garlic Pasta Sauce
  • 1 Tsp Sugar
  • 1/2 Tsp Salt To Taste
  • 1 Tsp Garlic Powder To Taste
  • Black Pepper To Taste
