This recipe doesn’t have many crazy ingredients but a separate recipe list. One recipe list is dedicated to the ground beef patties, and the other recipe list is for the gravy. Unlike my other ground beef recipes.

How to make hamburger steak with onions and gravy?

In addition, this has got to be one of the easiest recipes I have ever made. I used to sit by the stove and droll over my mom making this dinner recipe, but let’s keep going.

Steps to the hamburger steak recipe

  1. Y’all know the first thing I always say is to make sure you gather all your ingredients! We don’t want to get halfway through the recipe and realize we don’t have some ingredients.
  2. To a bowl, add your ground beef.
  3. Begin adding all of your seasonings to your hamburger steak (onion powder, garlic powder, seasoning salt, and Worcestershire sauce).
  4. Mix those ingredients into your ground beef well.
  5. Form your beef into patties
  6. Once you have done, add some oil to a preheated cast iron pan (medium-high temperature)
  7. Add in your beef patties and allow to cook on both sides for about 5 minutes.
  8. Once the patties are cooked for 5 minutes on both sides. Take them out and sit them to the side.

Steps to the gravy recipe

  1. In the same pot, add your butter along with your onions and allow to cook for 2 minutes or until softened.
  2. Add in your flour and gravy pack and stir until it dissolves.
  3. Once things dissolve, add in your beef broth and Worcestershire sauce and stir.
  4. Add back in your beef patties and let simmer on medium-low for 5 minutes!

  • 1 Teaspoon Seasoning Salt
  • 1 Teaspoon Onion Powder
  • 1 Tablespoon Garlic Powder
  • 3 Tablespoon Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1 ½ Cups Beef Broth
  • 1 Tablespoon Vegetables Oil or Olive Oil

Hamburger Gravy

  • 1 Medium Sweet Onion Sliced
  • 4 Tablespoon Butter
  • ¼ Cup Flour
  • 1 Teaspoon Worcestershire Sauce
  • Pinch Salt To your liking
  • Pepper To your liking
  • Garlic Powder To your liking
  • Seasoning Salt To your liking
  • 1 Pack Brown Gravy I suggest McCormick(not sponsored)

Instructions

  • To a bowl, add your ground beef
